Wee Yogis introduces yoga, wellness and mindfulness to children through entertainment, music for mindful families, concerts, classes and a play. Mindfulness can be fostered through many methods with music for mindful families being a great tool. What is mindfulness? Mindfulness means being aware of yourself—your body, your emotions, your thoughts as well as your surroundings, including other people. It’s a practice and a state of mind such that you are careful of where your attention or focus is being committed. Being mindful means that you’re fully present and nonjudgmental. This includes being nonjudgmental of yourself or your own thoughts. You can do most any task mindfully, and there are ways to help with becoming more mindful, for example, using music for mindful families. You can be mindful when vacuuming your home, you can be mindful while driving, or while meditating. Mindfulness asks that you are actively listening to others. Mindfulness can also mean changing your perspective on life and perceiving labels differently than expected. Further, mindfulness signifies that you must also be receptive to new information and stimuli, including others’ point of view. More, mindfulness focuses less on results and a particular destination, and more on the literal and figurative journey. Through the aforementioned mindset, you focus on the present, not the past, not the future. “If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present,” quotes Lao Tzu.
Music for mindful families is a lovely way to encourage peacefulness and being present for all family members. Music can incite the full spectrum of emotions. Music is energetic and can be a strong form of control or withdrawal. Music for mindful families can affect you deeply as a form of communication and as a way to open the heart and mind. In order to get the full benefits from music, one must listen to the appropriate kind of music for mindful families.
When meditating, you can listen to music for mindful families with headphones, through a speaker or on a set playlist. You can have your music for mindful families timed out or you can allow you and your family to enjoy it until each member comes to an organic session culmination.
Everyone is unique, and with that in mind you must tailor each individual’s experience. Do research to see what possibilities are available when listening to music for mindful families. But in the end, do what feels right for you, your family and your music for mindful families.
